Expert Guidance on Sleep Solutions for your
Baby & Child
You’re Not Failing—You’re Just Tired. And I Can Help.
Hi, I’m Emma, a certified baby and child sleep consultant—and a mum who truly gets it.
As a parent myself, I know what it feels like to be drowning in conflicting advice, scrolling endlessly, and second-guessing every decision. I remember just wanting one trusted voice — someone who got me, who understood my child, and who saw my family as more than just a number. That’s what I aim to be for the families I work with.
When I became a parent, I quickly realised just how overwhelming and isolating sleep struggles can be. This experience sparked a passion in me to help other families find the same sense of peace.
Through The Yawn Club, I support parents with a gentle, evidence-based approach to sleep. My style is compassionate, respectful, and rooted in the belief that your child’s well-being and your instincts matter deeply. I don’t believe in “cry it out” methods. Instead, I offer personalised guidance that supports both your child’s development and your confidence as a parent.
My ethos is simple: with the right support, comfort, and consistency, your little one can sleep peacefully—and so can you. I’m here to walk that journey with you, every step of the way.
Welcome to The Yawn Club—your space to rest, reset, and feel like yourself again.

My Company Ethos
At the heart of everything I do is the belief that sleep training should feel supportive, compassionate, and completely tailored to your family. I focus on three core values: consistency, comfort, and support. That means empowering you with a plan you feel good about, offering daily one-on-one guidance, and respecting the unique needs of your child. Sleep training isn’t one-size-fits-all—and it’s never about just “toughing it out.” It’s about building healthy sleep habits with confidence, care, and connection. As a parent myself, I’m here to walk beside you every step of the way—and support you through your babies sleep journey.
FAQ
What exactly does a baby/child sleep consultant do?
A sleep consultant helps families create healthy, age-appropriate sleep habits for their babies and young children. I work closely with you to assess current routines, sleep environments, and challenges, then guide you through a customised, bespoke plan that suits your parenting style and your child’s unique needs
How can I get my baby to sleep through the night?
Sleeping through the night is possible for many babies after 4–6 months, but every child is different. I assess whether your baby is ready developmentally and help identify what's causing the night wakings—often it’s sleep associations or an inconsistent routine. Then we create a gentle, bespoke step-by-step approach to improve their sleep.
What is the best sleep schedule for my child?
That depends on your child’s age and stage. I’ll help you build a schedule based on biologically appropriate wake windows, number of naps, and optimal bedtimes to promote longer, more restful sleep.
Do I have to let my baby cry it out to sleep train?
There is a difference between "cry-it-out" methods and attachment-based approaches that aim to minimise tears. I do not use the cry-it-out method, but I do let my clients know that some crying may be necessary as their baby learns to self-settle. We’ll discuss all the available options, I’ll assess your sleep goals, and then create a personalized sleep plan. This plan will begin with gentle methods and gradually build toward independence—allowing you to choose what feels right for you and your baby.
Why is my baby waking up multiple times at night?
Night waking is usually linked to how your baby falls asleep. If they need rocking, feeding, or other external help, they may struggle to return to sleep when they stir. Teaching self-settling and establishing consistent routines can make a big difference.
Should I still be feeding my baby overnight?
This depends on your baby’s age, weight gain, and medical needs. If your baby is ready to night-wean, we can gradually reduce feeds in a way that’s gentle and responsive. If they still need night feeds, we’ll build those into your sleep plan strategically.
Is my child going through a sleep regression?
If your child was sleeping well and suddenly isn’t, it could be a regression—often linked to developmental milestones like rolling, crawling, or talking. I’ll help you ride out this phase with support and consistency, so things return to normal as quickly as possible
How does your service work?
We start with an intake assessment where I learn about your child’s sleep habits, temperament, and routines. Then I create a personalised sleep plan and guide you through implementation with support via calls and/or messages
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes! I support families across the country (and even internationally) through virtual consultations, sleep assessments, and ongoing coaching. Everything can be done remotely via video calls, phone, and messaging support.
When is the best time to start sleep coaching?
Since many babies experience a sleep regression around four months, I typically begin working with families when their baby is at least five months old. That said, the best time to start really depends on whether you feel ready. There’s no such thing as “too late” when it comes to sleep coaching—support can be tailored to suit your child’s age, stage, and unique needs.
